PerfectDisk 2008 Professional 9.0 is a software to optimize your hard disk performance.
It achieves this by using its defragmentation and Space Restoration Technology.
The files in your hard disk become fragmented continuously. They are split in millions of pieces, as a new file tries to use all the free space in your disk, like the space freed by erased files. This means that when you need to read those files, you have to pick that million pieces all over your hard disk. This is time consuming and stresses your hard disk components. Defragmentation solves that, by re-saving your files placing its parts one before the other, in a clean sector of your hard disk. It will improve your reading speed, and reduce the wait times.
It´s StealthPatrol feature provides the ability to automatically perform defragmentation when your system is idle.
The Free Space Recycler can reclaim valuable free space from your Recycle Bin, Temporary Internet Files, and duplicate text, picture, video and music files.
The Space Explorer feature shows you a bird's eye view of the space distribution between files and folders inside your drives' directories.
